Each week they are given a new design challenge which they accomplish working as teams.
Our Dark Prince of Design, Laurence Llewelyn Bowen will determine the fate of the contestants each week as he sends someone from the losing team home.

It first premiered on cable network Sony/AXN in 2012 and has run for seven successful seasons in the English language.
The Apartment made a successful debut on the largest Indonesian free to air network MNC and ran for two successful seasons in the Bahasa language with season 3 in planning stages.
In addition The Apartment has enjoyed success in Vietnam on the Free to Air network HTV7 in the Vietnamese language.
